About Us

The San Jose State Vietnamese Student Association is a student-based organization that was first founded in 1978 to encourage students' involvement in the Vietnamese community. SJSU VSA is home to both Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese students alike. The purpose of our organization is to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture to anyone who is willing to learn. Long lasting connections and friendships are made within this club.

Social

We love to provide our members with a chance to meet new people, make lasting connections, and create a lively and safe community. With our social events, members meet their potential lifelong friends and make fun memories.

Community

As a large student organization, we give back to the community that has fostered our growth and supported our members. Through various volunteer events and fundraising events, we repay the support to our surrounding Vietnamese communities and San Jose community.

Culture

With such a diverse population, VSA shares the Vietnamese culture at SJSU through various events. The Vietnamese culture is beautiful, but can die if not shared through stories, language, food, etc.. VSA continues to spread the culture from word of the day to Culture Show.

Academics

VSA supports the academic and professional development of members. By hosting study sessions, professional workshops, and alumni night, we provide our members with opportunities to reach their academic and professional goals.
